Terms and Conditions

  • The balance of your total room cost is due at check-in at the hotel.
  • We accept cash (US Dollars and Costa Rican Colones), and credit cards (Visa, Master Card, and Amex).
  • For property take-overs, the total amount of the reservation for all hotel rooms is due at check-in even if not all the rooms are occupied by the group.

Unpaid Services

We have the right to charge your credit card for any unpaid services after departure.

Lost or Stolen Items

We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please use the safety box provided in your room and ensure you collected all of your belongings before checkout.

COVID-19 Updates:

As we closely monitor and adhere to changes in government policy The Grateful Hotel has enhanced our health & safety precautions to comply with the recommendations and guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministerio de Salud Costa Rica.

By making a reservation, all guests affirm they meet the conditions set forth outlined below before entering the hotel or facilities.

  • You and your guests are healthy without any COVID-19 symptoms (temperature should be below 37.9 °C, we will take temperatures at the door)
  • You have abided by the social distancing/quarantine rules by the government and followed all safety protocols.
  • You have not come into contact with anyone that contracted the virus.
  • Once in the property please avoid shaking hands, wash your hands at your arrival, and as often as possible, sneeze and cough appropriately by covering your mouth and using your forearm.
  • ** If you require help arranging a COVID test appointment to get back home, please let us know and email us at frontdesk@thegratefulhotel.com

Property and Cancellation Policies:

To cancel please, email us your cancelation request with the complete name of the traveler, reservation dates, and the reason for the cancellation at: frontdesk@thegratefulhotel.com or call: (506) 2653-09751-800-391-1944. The deposit charged at the time of booking (first-night room rate) is non-refundable

50% of your booking will be charged and confirmed with a follow-up email

The cancelation fee is 1st night 30 days or more prior to arrival date, afterwards, the cancelation fee is 100%

All Extensions and if any other deposit is required subject to availability. Email contact@thegratefulhotel.com for terms, conditions, and approval

All Cancellation refunds will be made to the same credit card the reservation charge was made
